Our final stop on our trip was to beautiful Annapolis to watch my cousin Michael graduate from the Naval Academy. We got to stay in a fun old house with my Aunt and Uncle, my cousins, my grandparents and my parents. It was so cool! The streets of Annapolis have such history and are filled with such character! I could walk up and down them for days on end!
We were so lucky that Jonathan's brother had his graduation the same weekend as my cousin Michael's because that gave us the opportunity to see two wonderful events and spend time with most of our family! The Naval Academy graduation was held in this giant stadium called the Navy- Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, so it was HUGE. It reminded me of attending my Baylor undergrad ceremony but on an even larger scale. The Blue Angels flew over the stadium and the Secretary of Defense, Chuck Hagel delivered the commencement address. It was very cool and I am so glad I got to experience that with my family. Jonathan and Noah were glad to be back at the house sleeping (we had left Baltimore at 5:30 am in hopes to avoid Naval Academy traffic) so both Jonathan and Noah were exhausted!
We had a lovely celebratory dinner for Michael and parents and family even took Noah the next day so Jonathan and I could meet up with our friends Karla and Andrew and hang out in DC for the afternoon. We really had such a wonderful time getting to explore, spend time with family/friends and eat awesome food!
