Some of you may be wondering about the shots I give myself everyday. They are a generic version of the blood thinner, Lovenox, called Enoxaparin. When I first developed a blood clot after my pregnancy with Mason, I had to administer Lovenox shots twice a day and the shots were very expensive. I had a 7 day supply and they cost about $450. For my pregnancy, I am so lucky that our current insurance has a prescription plan where I get 3 months of Lovenox for $350. Even better than that, our insurance also decided to allow the new generic prescription of Lovenox, Enoxaparin, to be available and for only $150 for a 3 month supply. This is a huge difference in price to what our previous insurance covered and we feel very fortunate to be able to afford this medication. Like the Bible says, "Jehova-Jireh.... God will Provide!"
Anyways, if you are afraid of needles, I would suggest that you do not watch the video, but if you are at all interested in a video of me self-administering a class B injectable drug, then please do watch!
Much Love,
Christa and Jonathan
