weekly Noah: thirteen

Dear Noah, when do you think I might get my finger back?  I mean, I am so glad it makes you happy, but really? Can't you find something a little less mommy to chew on? Ha!

I cannot believe Noah is officially 3 months old! Yesterday was his 3 month birthday... crazy, right? Every day I am completely amazed by the growth and development I see in him.  And in just the last week Noah has turned into a drooly monster.  Bibs, spit bubbles and even the lovely long drips of drool combined with fussy out-bursts and chewing/sucking on my hand for long periods of time...  I am SO not ready for teething!  I thought he wouldn't start any of this until he was 5 or 6 months old, but he has two big bumps where his canines should come in.  Yep, I know... Noah could end up looking like a little vampire baby.  He comes by it honestly; I had fangish-type teeth at a very early age.  Thankfully those teeth did not follow into adulthood and with the help of modern orthodontia my teeth turned out just fine. ;-).

Other than Noah's drooly monster phase he is jumping into, he is also jumping into the sweet smiles and laughs at people phase.  He thinks that I am HILARIOUS, especially during diaper changes. hah! Never knew a kid to enjoy getting his bum cleaned so much, but I will take every smile and giggle I can get!

This little boy still loves bath time and was even able to have his first experience with a swimming pool.  He LOVED being in the water, even if it was just a little cold.

Noah also had his first stint of sleeping through the night.  He went down for his last feeding at midnight and then didn't wake up again until 7:50! It was amazing!  He seemed to have been so happy and I was definitely happy.  Of course I woke up several times to check on him because I could not believe that my baby would sleep almost 8 hours on his own.  I am hoping in the very near future that will become a wonderful habit because both mommy and daddy LOVE sleep and we have been severely lacking it for the last 13 weeks.

We returned on Monday from our second trip to Dallas.  This time we were going for my friend, Tiffany's wedding reception.  We had a great time visiting with all the grandparents and my siblings.  Boy do  I  miss my family and friends so much more now that we have Noah.  I feel like we all miss out on so much together time.  I guess that makes these little trips so much more memorable and exciting.

Here are some photos from the week... some are from Dallas and some are from LA and some are just plain silly.
