37 weeks!

Pregnancy Highlights

How Far Along: 37 weeks (37 weeks 4 days by my Doctor's calendar)

Size of Baby: about 6lbs by my doctor's measurements!

Total Weight Gain: 25lbs

Maternity Clothes: yes, yes, yes.

Gender: boy

Movement: rolling, kicking and popping.  He's losing space and not afraid to let me know that my insides are in his way!

Sleep:  I've been pretty anxious the past few nights, so sleep hasn't been the greatest, but I have been finding myself passed out in the middle of the day in various places (the couch, head on desk in the office, the bed, the floor where I was folding laundry).

What I Miss:  sushi?  again, I don't have too many things other than alcohol I have been abstaining from other than crazy activity, which I cannot even imagine doing with this ginormous bowling ball attached to my gut.

Cravings: none, but I have been trying to eat more balsamic vinaigrette, eggplant, basil and other spicy foods... None of them affect me much though since I have been eating whatever I want pretty much all along.

Best Moment this Week: having my doctor congratulate me in becoming a normal full term pregnancy and baby boy passing his NST without problem this morning.

Blood Pressure:  I had a scare on Tuesday and it was pretty high... like diagnostic for preeclampsia high (148/93)... My doctor threatened me that if today's NST was bad and my blood pressure was bad then HeMac was being evicted, but yesterday my pressures were consistently normal and today they were even lower, so it must have been some kind of fluke or something.  Whatever it was, I am trying really hard to make sure it doesn't happen again.  I'm drinking tons of water and trying to watch my salt intake like a hawk (not like I don't do those things already, but I'm keeping an eye out).

News from the Doctor: I'm pretty much just waiting for baby to come at this point.  Trying to keep my blood pressure at bay and get this little guy to come on his own before 17 days.  Neither of my doctors are going to let me labor past 40 weeks because of my risk of a uterine rupture, but I am okay with that.  They are really giving my body time and I appreciate that!  Now let's just hope and pray that my body continues to cooperate so that they don't push up that timeline!

  2. HeMac , please stay in your mommy's tummy for at least 5 more days so I will be on the same continent when you decide to make your appearance. Love, your Tata Story
