Per the pediatrician's notes Olive has been growing great! Her stats are...
19lbs.....................................................19th percentile
29.5 inches tall.....................................18th percentile
17.91 inch head circumference............46th percentile
She is such a big girl right now. Saying new words all the time, running after and copying her big brother on everything and worst of all exercising her will! Oh my goodness.
Her newest and most frustrating thing is taking her clothes off. ALL THE TIME. We put her to bed in a footed pajama and a sleep sack. Walk in a few minutes later and she is naked. As in unzipped both clothing articles and taken off her diaper. For a while I tried putting two sleep sacks on top of her pajamas so that she would wear herself out before getting to her pajamas, but recently we discovered putting on her sleep sack backwards (duh!). She is really angry that she has to wear clothes, but it is chillier outside and she doesn't sleep well without a sleep sack so there is no negotiating on this. ha.
Her other most frustrating thing is telling me no. She mostly only tells me no about food. She is much pickier than Noah and has decided that she will tell me no to everything at least once even if she wants to eat it. Offer her ice cream ..."no!". Then she will do a double take and open her mouth wide. Offer her rice... "no!". Sometimes I have to forcefully sneak food into her mouth before she will remember that "oh wait I really do like what you are feeding me". She is such a food diva.
Exciting developments are that she loves to mimic and says things like "thank you", "kisses", "cheese", "shoes", "balls", "bubbles" and hums tunes to songs.
She is so brave. Loves to climb the stairs to the slide all by herself. Loves to climb out of the bathtub all by herself. Loves to climb out of her high chair all by herself. I am amazed by this little thing. I cannot wait to see what God has in store for her.
