weekly wonder: fifty

With Uncle Peter about to leave us and go back to Dallas, we really had to get down to some last-minute sightseeing.  We decided that it would be fun to take an afternoon adventure to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.  Noah was super excited immediately because he spotted the giant NOODLES and had to run and play in them.  That lasted for a good 30 minutes before we walked the grounds in hopes to tire him out for a nap.  We saw the tar pits and even spent another 30 minutes running up and down a hill.  I cannot even tell you how thankful I am that we had Peter with us on this adventure because Noah had someone with boundless amounts of energy to keep up with him.  This must have been what I was like as a kindergarten teacher... I cannot EVEN remember that kind of stamina. HAH. Anyways, Peter ran that kid all around in hopes to get him to pass out so we could quietly view the rest of the exhibits.  That didn't seem to work quite the way we had hoped because Noah gave us commentary of every painting and sculpture throughout the entire museum.  We ended the trip with a crazy melt-down in the courtyard over some boba tea.  Yeah... that was Noah and not me.  lol He was angry when there was no more tea, but in all fairness he was extremely tired and was not able to get himself to sleep.  He finally passed out for 5 minutes on the car ride home and then proceeded to be a crankapotomus the entire evening.  Toddlers... go figure!
