weekly noah: forty-six weeks

Our little stinky cheese man is growing up so fast and I don't even know where the time is going.  Noah has officially a toddler now that he is standing and walking on his own.  He still crawls around a bunch and furniture cruises, but every once in a while, he will balance and walk from one piece of furniture to another instead of getting down and crawling from one place to another.  It is absolutely CRAZY to think that just 10 months ago this baby was inside of me and now he is walking around... it is simply amazing!

Noah has also started mimicking me and anyone else that he is around.  For example if you crinkle your face when you talk, he will follow-suit and start to crinkle his face while he babbles.  He is also starting to stick his tongue out at people and not just to feel around at his teeth, but to actually make a silly face. He is constantly starting to show more and more of his own personality through his emotions and is constantly wanting to learn more ways to communicate with us.

We decided to spend our holidays in Texas this year (yay!!)... BUT this meant we had to travel with both Gus AND Noah.  Yes, I know we can board our dog, but it's extremely expensive and since he's been through so much trauma in the past month we decided it would just be safer and more cost efficient for him to travel with us.  Instead of traveling to Texas via plane like we normally do, we had the BRIGHT idea to drive.  Yes... taking a dog and a baby 24ish hours on the road to Texas?!?  So Noah has traveled both by plane and by a horrendously long car ride and done remarkably well.  I would of course chose to travel with him by plane only because it's over and done with in a shorter amount of time, but it's good to know that he can tolerate both.  Noah was such a good boy the entire time.  He actually only hit a rough patch the last couple hours of the trip while we were stuck in traffic right outside of downtown Dallas.  As soon as we got him out of the car he seemed to perk right back up though.  I forgot how much Jonathan and I love road tripping.  It's fun to explore new areas and try out different restaurants.  We were really excited to introduce Noah to the snow as we passed through Arizona and New Mexico.  He thought it looked REALLY cool, but once he got a hold of it he seemed very displeased with the sheer coldness.  I guess it might take some getting used to.  Anyways, we hope that we can pass the travel bug onto our little guy. It's so much more fun knowing that the rest of our lives we get to share these super exciting things with Noah.  ;-)
