weekly noah: twenty-four

Noah is pretty mobile these days... as I am writing this post he has made 13 rolls across the floor to steal a dog toy and two spins somewhere in there as well just to make sure he was aiming in the right direction.  He is so close to crawling.  He pulls his little arms forward in an army crawl, but he doesn't realize that if he would just get up on his legs that he would be REALLY going places.  THANK GOD! haha once I noticed his rolling around to get things I became a little nervous, now I am VERY nervous.  Just think what I will be when he starts crawling or even when he starts walking.  Lord help me please.  Jonathan is on the floor with him right now trying to teach Noah how to crawl.  He is having TONS of fun with Noah.  They are best buds.  Noah smiles from ear to ear when daddy is helping him.  It's the cutest thing.

Today I noticed that little guy has a tiny tiny part of a tooth poking through his gums which explains why he's been chewing on anything and everything he can get his little hands on.  I am surprised he hasn't been overly fussy or anything, but maybe that's to come?  Hopefully the rest of the tooth will come through quickly and pain free!

Noah has been doing so much better with his sleeping.  He still wakes up for one or two feedings, but I am happy to say he likes to stay in bed until 10am, for which I am elated.  It gives me a chance to get a few things done before he gets up.

Noah is chatting and screaming and laughing and grunting at louder volume these days.  It's hard to go anywhere without him drawing attention.  Thankfully he usually settles down after he gets a few smiles and mostly we end up leaving with him passed out in his carrier or stroller.  He's such an easy baby to go places with.  He has even been doing much better with his car seat.  We went to ikea (a 30 minute drive) and he didn't cry once! Wonderful improvement considering a 5 minute drive in the car has been torture in the past.

Last week Noah had his first mommy and baby yoga experience.  He did really well except for all of his rolling and wiggling away.  It was a little tricky to do downward dogs while he was flip-flopping in the middle of the floor towards other people's mats.  Funny guy, right?

This weekend Noah will take his first trip to a river.  Hopefully he will get to do some floating around in the cool water and be super lazy (fingers crossed).

Enjoy this week's photos!

  1. Beibhinn didn't fuss at all when her teeth actually appeared. I think most of the bad teething happens well before the tooth arrives. She was teething badly around 3 months but the teeth didn't come until about 5 months - it was a total surprise because she hadn't been teething for ages. Watch out for the biting :)
