monthly olive: sixteen
Oh Olive...What a sweet little thing. So much is changing about you so very quickly. You are saying more and more words, singing and humming more and more songs and understanding more every day. She loves to say "meee" for mine, "da doo" for thank you, "baybeeee" for baby and "wowah" for Noah. And then there is always "NO" for every thing else. This picture is her having her first piece of candy. I wouldn't have dreamed giving 1 year old Noah a piece of candy, but watching her big brother... she demands to have and do everything he is having and doing. Sometimes it's frustrating and other times I just throw my hands up in the air and say whatever. I feel like all Miss Olive wants is for us to know she's big, but to not go too far because even a big girl needs to be held onto from time to time. She loves chasing big bro and pestering him a little bit too. They really have their ups and downs but mostly they are precious. Olive has eight teeth. The top front four and the bottom front four. She is working on her molars and the should be poking through any day now... *fingers crossed*
Sleeping isn't perfect. Some nights she doesn't wake up and other nights she is up 3-4 times. Trying to not be too impatient with her because she very well may be our last baby and I can't get back any of these precious moments.
Olive is our picky eater. She loves yogurt... especially savory yogurt. She likes most meats. She is picky about veggies. Some day she will eat them all and then for days she wont touch them. She really doesn't like much tofu or mushroom or fish... which is hard because before she ate solids we would eat a lot of vegetarian meals and now we absolutely have to have some meat available for at least Olive at dinner or else I fear she will starve. She likes spicy and saucy things which really makes daddy happy because he loves to cook spicy and saucy meals.
We're enjoying this precious girl so very much and cannot wait to see the young lady she becomes.
