How Far Along: 18 weeks 6 days
Size of Baby: sweet potato
Total Weight Gain: I still haven't gained much weight. I blame Noah for that. He sees me eating and wants MY food. Even if he has the same thing. I'm also running after him all day so sometimes I forget to eat. I know I know... shame shame shame, but I definitely make it up by the end of the day. I was up 2lbs at my appointment last week, but maybe I drank less fluids over the weekend or something because I was only up 1lb today.
Maternity Clothes: my friend Colleen graciously passed along some of her maternity summer clothes and I tried out the shorts today. SUPER comfortable, but I definitely didn't need them yet and I was pulling them up all day long. ha
Gender: girlie!!!
Movement: yes... on and off throughout the day, little girl is jumping around. Loving all the movement.
Sleep: feel like I could sleep at any time of the day. I am SO exhausted
What I Miss: energy energy energy! That seems to be my only major symptom right now. I'm so happy to not be nauseous day in and out anymore. It's nice to be able to eat out with friends or allow Jonathan to do what he loves best in the kitchen. I still get some nausea here and there, but not too bad now if I could only stay awake for more than 5 seconds...
Cravings: fresh fruits and veggies and finally... Another craving! Potbelly Brand hot peppers. I love this stuff without being pregnant, but right now I could eat it straight out of the jar. Spicy oiled vegetables?!? Um yes... Yes... Yess! Unfortunately we do not have a Potbelly in California. But fortunately both my mom and Jonathan's mom have sent me these pepper jars in the past so I have a stash going. I might be begging for more though before the summer is over.
Best Moment this Week: getting to see our squirmy baby girl on the ultrasound screen. She was definitely moving around a ton and her heartbeat sounded so strong. Since I was at my OB's office, it was a pretty quick appointment and he didn't get a chance to print out a photo, but I was glad I got a chance to see her just the same. Noah kept saying he was watching our fishy. Maybe that will be his nickname for her?
Blood Pressure: bp was 120/70 at the doctors appointment which is great!
Sorry for the not so creative bump pics... I am still working out what I want to do in the upcoming weeks. You can see my lovely lovenox bruises spreading across my love-handles. Thankfully they are not painful bruises... just not so pretty ones. The last one you can kind of see more of a bump but I think it's due to my terrible posture. Still exciting to see things a changing.
