How Far Along: 21 weeks
Size of Baby: size of a cantaloupe; about 10.5 inches long and 12.7 inches long
Total Weight Gain: +1 (not really sure yet...)
Maternity Clothes: wearing some maternity clothing, but still in between.
Gender: boy
Movement: Baby boy is almost always on my left side... but when he floats around in the middle he likes to do a little dance on my bladder just for the heck of it. Those are the times when I will go to the bathroom 5 times in an hour.
Sleep: waking up a ton throughout the night, especially around 5-6am. I am super sensitive to heat. Poor Jonathan is really annoyed because I keep the apartment so cold at night.
What I Miss: cokes and potbelly. I miss potbelly because we don't have them in California, not because I can't eat there. hehe
Cravings: I don't really crave anything, but I could eat Mexican any day of the week. Especially chipotle tacos, but really that's not different from before I was pregnant. I love MEXICAN food!
Best Moment this Week: Not really the best moment, but definitely a moment of relief, Friday I was feeling uneasy about baby boy and how he had been pretty still for the past few days. So I got out the doppler and checked to make sure all is well. Sure enough as soon as I put it up to my stomach, the little guy pushed hard on it and scampered to the other side of my tummy. I guess I should be thankful that this baby is so very gentle, but it is so different for me because Mason was such a brute and so active. (read more at the bottom of the post)
Blood Pressure: This morning my blood pressure was kind of crazy, but I blame the husband for that. He was poking me and tickling and annoying me while I was trying to get an accurate read. I'm usually very sweet spirited unless it comes to my blood pressure and then I get annoyed when things aren't looking the way they should. Anyways, it finally gave me an accurate read at 109/69. I would say most of my readings look about like that. When I see a 117 or 122 over 76 I get worried, but those are also normal and good reads (I just have high expectations for my blood pressure... that's all).
It's hard for me to grasp that it's okay for each baby to be different and that sometimes your baby is not going to move on command for you. It takes more faith than I can even express to make it through 24 hours a day without calling my doctor with every worry and fear. I am glad to say that I have not called my doctor much, but mainly because I'm fairly confident that even a doctor could not give me the answers I seek. These are more questions for God... and honestly, time will tell. So with every day and every passing week, I muster up more patience and more faith that things will turn out okay and if they don't I will cross that path when it gets here.
Prayers for this next week. This is Mason's one year anniversary week and will be extremely difficult for me and Jonathan. I might not post much, I might post a lot. I apologize ahead of time for any EXTREMELY emotional posts that may pop up, but if those are upsetting to you... you don't ever have to read them or even read my blog again. I promise my feelings won't be hurt. ;-)

Praying for you! Sooo excited that I can keep up with your blog!
